Thank you for taking the time to check out this website and find out a bit more about the PRECIS-2 tool: designing trials fit for purpose. I would like to use this space to keep you up-to-date on the tool and how it is being used in various projects. I thought this newsfeed might also enable me to pass on a few handy tips on using PRECIS-2. Many of these tips are derived from discussion with users registering to use the software and create their own wheels for trials in the website www.PRECIS-2.org. The elaboration paper is quite dense and it can take a few readings to pull out all the information you may need to use the tool, so I hope this blog can address some of the issues around applying PRECIS-2.
Over 80 trialists, clinicians and policymakers from 13 countries helped create PRECIS-2. It is a work-in-progress so feedback is welcome. The tool was developed to be both simple and intuitive but the best way to get to know the tool is to use it. So happy trialling!
